Who We Are
SYNERGY Therapeutic Solutions is a private clinical practice founded and led by Mariah Funderburg, LMFT, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist credentialed in Arizona, Nevada, and California. Our practice provides bespoke immersive therapeutic engagements for couples in crisis. All clinical services are delivered under the licensure and ethical standards of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT) and the licensing boards of the states in which we are credentialed to practice.

Information You Provide
We collect information you provide directly through:
- The 30 question crisis assessment, including your name, email address, and answers to clinical assessment questions
- Application forms for our therapeutic services, including contact information, partner information, situational descriptions, timeline preferences, and discretion requirements
- The freebie download form, including your name and email address
- The Power Hour booking process, which includes payment information processed by our third party payment processor
- Any communications you send to us via email, phone, or other channels
- Intake documents, clinical assessments, and information shared during therapeutic engagements
Information Collected Automatically
When you visit our website, we may collect limited technical information including IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, time and date of visit, and referring website. This information is used to maintain site functionality, security, and to understand how visitors use our content.
Protected Health Information
Once a therapeutic engagement begins, the information you share with us is considered Protected Health Information (PHI) under HIPAA and applicable state law. PHI is held to a higher standard of confidentiality than general personal information and is governed by our Notice of Privacy Practices, which is provided to all clients at intake.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- To provide and personalize our therapeutic services
- To respond to inquiries and applications
- To assess fit for our engagements and determine appropriate level of care
- To communicate with you about your engagement, including scheduling, preparation, and integration
- To send the assessment results, freebie download, and follow up educational content you have opted into receiving

How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your information. We do not share your information with third parties for their marketing purposes. We share information only in the limited circumstances described below.

These providers are contractually required to protect your information and use it only for the purposes we specify.
Legal Requirements

As licensed clinicians, we are also subject to mandated reporting requirements in Arizona, Nevada, and California, which include reporting suspected child abuse, elder abuse, vulnerable adult abuse, and credible threats of serious harm to self or others. These reporting obligations override confidentiality.
Emergency Circumstances
We may disclose information without your consent in situations involving imminent danger to your safety or the safety of others, consistent with our ethical and legal obligations as licensed therapists.
With Your Authorization
For any other disclosure, we obtain your written authorization before sharing your information.
Data Security
We use commercially reasonable physical, technical, and administrative safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted communication channels, secure record storage, restricted access to clinical records, and HIPAA aligned protocols for the handling of Protected Health Information. No system is perfectly secure, however, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of information transmitted to or stored by us.
Data Retention
We retain clinical records in accordance with state and federal law, professional ethics requirements, and our own retention schedule. In the states where we are licensed:
- Arizona: Clinical records are retained for at least 6 years following the last date of service, or longer where required.
- Nevada: Clinical records are retained for at least 5 years following the last date of service, or longer where required.
- California: Clinical records are retained for at least 7 years following the last date of service for adults, and longer for minors.
Non clinical information collected through our website (such as freebie download contacts or assessment results) is retained for as long as needed to provide the related services or until you request deletion.
Your Rights
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:
- Access the information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your non clinical information
- Withdraw consent for marketing communications at any time
- Receive a copy of your clinical records as permitted by law
- File a complaint with your state's consumer protection authority or the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services
California Residents
If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), including the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to delete personal information, the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (we do not sell or share for cross context behavioral advertising), and the right to non discrimination for exercising your privacy rights.
Nevada Residents
Nevada residents have the right to opt out of the sale of personal information under Nevada Revised Statutes Chapter 603A. We do not sell personal information.
Cookies and Tracking
Our website uses minimal essential cookies for site functionality. We do not use third party advertising cookies or tracking pixels for behavioral advertising purposes. We may use limited analytics to understand site performance.
Children's Privacy
